With close to 1000 episodes aired, One Piece is by far one of the longest-running Japanese tv series of all time. The series’ protagonist is Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who sets out from the East Blue Sea on a journey to find the titular treasure and proclaim himself King of the Pirates. Luffy’s Straw Hat Pirates embark on a perilous journey to locate the One Piece so that he can form his own crew. The Straw Hat Pirates embark on a group adventure in search of their fortune. They bought a ship and set sail to fight pirates. Other characters join Luffy’s journey later in the series as the series progresses. When the Going Merry can no longer be repaired, the Straw Hat Pirates take over the Thousand Sunny. The buccaneer crew is out on the high seas looking for treasure and adventure.

The anime currently is all set to release One Piece Episode 991 in the upcoming days. The fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the upcoming episode. Every episode brings new delight to the fans and it never fails to surprise them.

One Piece’s trajectory was promised to be thrilling for 2021, and the series has seen its word through so far. Now, it seems One Piece isn’t done with pleasant surprises and that more is in store for the series. Fans aren’t quite sure what to make of the tease.

Over on Twitter, the fandom was seduced into a frenzy when reports surfaced from insiders like WSJ_Manga. It was their fan-sites who shared info about a big update coming for One Piece. If the rumor is true, the anime has a big announcement planned for episode 1000, and the milestone release will be here this fall.

After all, One Piece is slated to bring in its next episode in a few days, and it will mark episode 990. We are ten episodes away from reaching episode 1000, so all eyes are on the show to see what’s coming.

Of course, One Piece fans do know one debut is on the way, and it has to do with Yamato. The character has been a staple in the manga for months now, but the anime is only just getting to the hero. Episode 990 promises to welcome the character as Yamato will be introduced with “Thunder Bagua! Here Comes Kaido’s Son!” on September 5. If you have read the manga, then you know Kaido’s son is none other than Yamato, and the pair have a seriously strained relationship if you can even call it one.
