Recap of chapter 116 of The Beginning After the End
Previously in The Beginning After the End Chapter 61, the troop enters a dungeon, a D-class dungeon called ‘The Widow’s Crypt’ Professor Glory instructs them to protect themselves with mana.
The troop finds it weird that they had not spotted any mana beasts yet which makes them wonder if another guild had taken care of them. However, Professor Glory had already instructed the other guilds to not interfere with the supposedly D-Class dungeon for two weeks.
Furthermore, she instructs them that if they don’t find any mana beasts in the first two levels, they will just report their findings to the adventurers guild.
Curtis asks if they can hunt for the beasts outside the dungeon mid-sentence he gets bumped into Professor Glory who suddenly responds ‘Get back!’, The panel shows a huge group of Snarlers.
We see quite the action here as Professor Glory defeats a few of them. The team re-groups and just when Professor Glory tells them that she will be calling off this excursion, Lucas states that things are finally getting interesting. Professor Glory agrees and warns Lucas that if he were to try that again there will be consequences.
The teams are made. Tessia instructs her team about the formation. Later we see them defeating Snarlers. Professor worries that the students won’t be able to handle the prolonged battles and instructs them to move elsewhere. While everyone is running Roland is taken over by the Snarlers, Arthur hurries back to him and defeats them with Burst Blade thus saving Roland.
Both of them are safe, however, an explosion occurs and we see more beasts which leave Professor Glory in shock.
