The fan loved Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is finally back with a new season officially titled “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S”. After the disastrous arson incident destroying the Studio Kyoto Animation building and the untimely passing of director Yasuhiro Takemoto the show’s production was on hold for a while.
However, the staff at KyoAni bounces back stronger than ever before. Tatsuya Ishihara taking the title of the new series director, Yuka Yamada as the scriptwriter, and Miku Kadowaki designing the characters.
According to the confirmation on Twitter, The second season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S will have 10 Episodes airing from July 8, 2021, to September 9, 2021. A new episode in the series will be released every Thursday at 12:00 am JST.
A total number of 5 episodes of the new S series have been aired yet and fans await the 6th episode.
What Happened in Episode 5:
In the last episode, Tohru learns about a new Maid Café that opened nearby and decides to work there during her free time. Kobayashi and Kanna visit later at the café to check upon her only to discover that she has become their cook. Tohru enchants the dishes served there with dark magic, making the café a success. Until she decides to quit. But before leaving she teaches the other maids dark magic as well.
A few days hence, Tohru and Kobayashi are attacked by Ilulu, an extremist from the Chaos Faction who criticizes Tohru for living as and with humans. Tohru is at a disadvantage against Ilulu as she protects the city from her attacks until Kobayashi procures Elma’s help, bribing her with sweets. This allows Tohru to go all out and defeat Ilulu. Ilulu later returns and attempts to seduce Kobayashi but fails. Knowing that Kobayashi has not fallen for her because she’s also female, Ilulu retreats for a while. But not before transforming Kobayashi into a male.
After being transformed into a male, Kobayashi spends the whole day resisting her sexual urges until the spell Ilulu placed in her wears down. Afterward, Ilulu is targeted by Cremene, a dragon hunter from the Harmony Faction and Kobayashi arrive to protect her.
After escaping for a while, Ilulu confesses to Kobayashi that she too has always wanted to coexist with humans, but other dragons always prevented her to do so. Especially after her parents were killed by humans. Cremene finds the duo and is set to kill both of them, only for Tohru to arrive and defeat him. After recovering at home, Kobayashi befriends Ilulu, who moves to her apartment.

Episode 6 of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 titled “Uncanny Relationships (One Side Is a Dragon)” is scheduled to release on August 12, 2021, at 12:00, am JST.
