Kengan Ashura had its first appearance as a manga series, it was launched on a shonen manga website Ura Sunday and MangaONE app in April 2012. The storyline was written by Yabako Sandrovich and the illustrations were penned by Daromeon.
In 2015 January, Ura Sunday conducted a public poll to decide whether the series deserves an anime adaptation, and guess what, rest is the history! The series is a total hit and now here we are waiting for Kengan Ashura Season 3.
The Story
Kengan Ashura has its roots from the Edo period of Japan, at that time the world was filled with gladiator arenas where businessmen would own the combatants to fight head to head with opponents.
The owner who wins is allowed to establish his/her domination on the other business owner. Hence, expanding their domination of business, and the disputes are to be solved in the arena, with blood.
But the series revolves around our main protagonist, our hero, Ohma Tokita (nickname – Ashura) who got into this underground fighting platform by beating the life out of amateur fighters on the streets and catching the attention of CEO of Nogi Group, Nogi Hideki. Nogi appoints Yamashita as manager of Ohma who has to enter this deadly tournament and face his wicked past.

However, fans were expecting that season 3 will be dropped this year but the coronavirus ruined it all for us! Still, there is a thin chance that season 3 might surface online later by December 2020. But most sources direct the release towards 2021.

We saw how Ohma Tokita fought everyone off until he got a monstrous thrashing from Raiyan Kure or Kure family. After a deadly match, Ohma finally beats Raiyan. Not just Ohma but many other competent fighters who have secured their spots on qualifier rounds will have a face-off!
According to manga, the story that Kengan Ashura Season 3 will cover will be somewhere between 17th – 28th volume will feature how Ohma will climb his way up with his brilliance.
