Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World- is expanding with his first console game effort, and he’s bringing a whole new character into the fold with him. Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne will launch on PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch later this year in both Japan and other territories, and with it comes a new story that expands the world of world. Original SeriesBut don’t worry about whether or not these expansions will fit the series canon, as this story will be closely supervised by the original series author Tappei Nagatsuki.
Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World- presented us with the idea of the Royal Selection in which five candidates compete for the throne. The new game will throw a key in things with the new character Melty, who is actually a sixth candidate.
We introduce not only a new character and story overseen by the author of the original Tappei Nagatsuki light novels, but even more new characters designed by the original series illustrator Shinichirou Otsuka will be featured. The postponement of this great event decided by the next ruler of the Kingdom of Lugunica moves Subaru and his friends into action. They return to the royal capital only to find that a sixth candidate has claimed her candidacy for the throne. But the Dragon Stone prophesies that only five candidates would be chosen. It will be a great year for fans of this franchise, as Re: Zero will not extend with the release of a console game, but its highly anticipated second season will also debut as part of the Summer 2020 anime season.
