New Characters Debut in Episode 2 of ‘Overlord IV’
Overlord season 4 has been highly eventful since its debut last week. Only two episodes in, we already have two new characters and kingdoms scheming for the downfall of Sorcerer King, Ainz.
Without any delays, Ainz immediately starts building diplomatic relationships for the utopia he wishes to create.
This season’s second episode that came out this week was a memorable one. In my opinion, it seemed a bit rushed, but I also liked the new characters that made their anime debut.
The first one is Philip Dayton L’Eyre Montserrat, the third son of a low-class noble and the heir to the house after the death of his two older brothers. He is an ambitious idiot who gets smitten by Albedo’s beauty and is ready to become an ally of the Sorcerous Kingdom.
Philip doesn’t realize that he’s not as cunning as he thinks and is one step closer to his story becoming a tragedy.

Philip’s character is played by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka in the anime. Matsuoka is also the voice behind Demon Slayer’s Inosuke and Food Wars’ protagonist, Soma Yukihira.
Next is Vesture Kloff Di Laufen, a former adventurer and Gazef’s mentor. Vesture used to be an adamantite-level adventurer and later started a swordsmanship academy to pass on his skills to them.
Vesture’s pupils were carefully chosen by him to be trained to become great warriors that are second to none. In the episode, Brain is seen training under the former adventurer to hone his skills for his fight against Ainz.
Character ban
It is decided that #Shiro Saito will play Vesture Croff di Lofan!

Shiro Saito has been cast to play Vesture in the anime. Saito has previously voiced Gansaku Nanbu from Megalobox and Ryogen in Musashi.
Further, Overlord’s staff has also revealed a creditless version of the season’s opening theme, ‘HOLLOW HUNGER,’ by the OxT duo.
The song and beats are already sick enough to be played on repeat, and a video without the annoying credits is just a cherry on top.
‘Overlord’ Season 4’s New Trailer Promises a Thrilling Colosseum Battle
Season 4 is going better than expected, and the animation is doing justice to the novel’s Ruler of Conspiracy arc.
The great thing about this season is that it’s ahead of the manga. Time to turn the tables and threaten manga-readers with spoilers!
