Shaman King’s Unfinished Sequel Finally Greenlit for Anime Adaptation
The finale of New Shaman King has just been aired, and before fans could even start missing the classic anime, a brand new sequel was announced for it.
If you are a die-hard Shaman King fan, you might know about its sequel manga, Shaman King Flowers.
Despite having a sequel manga, the original anime never adopted it, and part of the reason might be because the manga is unfinished due to cancelation.
Nevertheless, the New Shaman King anime will receive a sequel that will adapt the Shaman King Flowers manga. A confirmed release date is yet to be announced for the sequel.
Shaman King Flowers takes quite a leap into the future and focuses on Hana Asakura, the child of Yoh and Anna. The new protagonist has been teased in the latest promotional video:
As you can guess from the trailer, Hana is a brutal kid. He is a strong fighter and takes every advantage of this fact.
Hana’s biggest conflict will start when two members of the Asakura family, Yohane and Luca, attempt to kill him and Yoh to take over as the main branch of the family.

The latest visual also shows the protagonists as teens and then again after a seven-year time-gap when they have grown up. You can also see Hana in the second visual.
As the sequel manga was never even adapted in the original anime, this is the first time that you will see Yoh’s son animated.
Hana might be a feisty boy, but as several dangers threaten his family, he will rise to the occasion and prove that he is worth no less than his father.
