Latest Teaser of New ‘Mr. Osomatsu’ Film Sets the Stage for an Epic Quest
If you think kids are chaotic, then the sextuplets from Osomatsu-kun will be your worst nightmare. This classic comedy gives you not one or two but six goofy siblings who want nothing other than to cause mischief.
In Mr. Osomatsu, the kids have become adults, but their naughtiness hasn’t even diminished by an inch. In its upcoming movie, the sextuplets will go on the first epic adventure of their lives.
Mr. Osomatsu: The Hipipo Tribe and the Glistening Fruit is the second movie of the Osomatsu-san franchise and will premiere on July 8, 2022.
Not only that but another film has also been confirmed by the staff, which will be released in 2023.
The latest promotional video reveals the theme of the adventure where the sextuplets will go in search of a legendary fruit that can grant the wish of whoever eats it.
The trailer itself is a comic genius as the Osmatsus are dressed in costumes and get chased by a dinosaur. You can also get a glimpse of a mysterious shining fruit.
Set on a beautiful but isolated island, the siblings will face quite a lot of trouble in their escapade. The scene where the Hipipo tribe chases them is also terribly funny.
Don’t forget to check out this hilarious visual where the Osomatsu sextuplets are in a cave with varying degrees of expressions on their faces:
The upcoming film will be released to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the series and will have limited screening in Japan. All the staff and cast members will reprise their roles in the movie.

About Mr. Osomatsu
Mr. Osomatsu is a 2015 Japanese comedy anime television series by Pierrot, based on Fujio Akatsuka’s 1962 manga series, Osomatsu-kun.
The original manga and “high tension comedy” TV anime centered on the Matsuno household, which has six naughty and mischievous sons (who are sextuplets).
All of the sextuplets, including the eldest Osomatsu, are all in love with the same girl, Totoko.
The original series followed the family when the sons were 10 years old. The new series, titled Osomatsu-san, will be the first television anime in 27 years, and it follows the characters after they’ve become adults.
