The Wait is Over for Gamers as NieR: Automata gets an Anime Adaptation
I’m intrigued to see Nier: Automata the most acclaimed JRPG of all time is coming to the anime world. It has great characters, stories, and action and I can’t wait to see my favorite character, 2B in 2D.
Nier: Automata, the hit 2017 action-RPG directed by Yoko Taro and developed by Square Enix and PlatinumGames, is getting an anime adaptation. The series was announced during the game’s 5th-anniversary live stream and will be produced by Aniplex.
Aniplex is already known for producing anime such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and The Promised Neverland. I’m curious to know how their involvement with this anime will be a game-changer.
The official website of the TV anime “NieR: Automata” has opened. We have also released a newly drawn animation visual.

The anime series will adapt the story of 2B, 9S, and A2. They are combat androids in the year 11945 AD pitted in an unrelenting war against extraterrestrial machines for the fate of humanity. Things changed for the worse when they discover a terrible secret.
A brief teaser trailer features a katana-wielding 2B alongside her flying robot assistant Pod 042.
To convey the whole story the anime should be about 24-25 episodes long. The first half could cover both the 2B and 9S routes since they happen simultaneously. The second half of the story could cover the third playthrough.
While the storyline and script look promising, I’m worried about the quality of the anime and how it will look.

I just wanna see how they adapt Akihiko Yoshida’s wonderful character designs in the anime. I’m sure it’s gonna be interesting, considering Yoshida’s designs in Automata are wildly different from his usual art style (which we’ve seen adapted in the anime already with Maquia).
