In the midst of a very impressive war, with unlikely alliances and a demonic opponent, Kingdom fans are probably the most excited they have been without the Protagonist being present. Kingdom Chapter 656 will keep up the ongoing war – it won’t be long before we reach the climactic areas.
Menacing, isn’t it? Ou Sen has this undeniable charm that we are mesmerized by. And turns out, he managed to solidify his position in the annals of history. Ou Sen is one of the 4 best generals of that era!
Couple months ago, some mangaka said that the Japanese audience doesn’t like it if the protag is out of the story for a long time. And it’s true. This present Chu arc is has its own flow – we’re only seeing minor bouts instead of drawn out fights, the intricate strategical decisions are omitted and the war is progressing extremely fast.
Kingdom 656 will draw this arc over the margin and continue with major revelations. Last time, we said that Chapter 655 will show some change that will shift the tides.
And we were right – under GoHouMei’s orders, the army is moving different, focusing more on the main charge. Before we discuss any more about this, let us get another topic out of the way.

Kingdom Chapter 656 Release Date:
The raw manga pages of Kingdom 656 will be present in the new issue of the magazine. We expect the date to be 5th October 2020. These are the Japanese raws and scanlators will pick them up.
Kingdom 656 English fan translations will arrive on October 8, 2020. One of the major scanlation teams just retired and now it looks like the raw scan translations will suffer some time for sure.
As for official scans, you’re out of luck. Kingdom does not have an official English release.
Solo Leveling Chapter 122 and One Piece Manga 992 will also be releasing next week so make sure to check them out while you wait for the upcoming Kingdom manga to get released.
Kingdom Manga 656 Discussion And Predictions:
So back to our conversation…
Kingdom 656 will show the fruits of the changing strategy – either GoHouMei will prove himself to be a top tier threat for Qin in the future, or he will be bested by Juuko’s veterans. We know that Juuko army has not been using any special moves; their strategist didn’t think it was necessary to adjust the formations.
It seems now is the appropriate time. General Tou is leading the main charge and he will be backed by RanbiHaku, Wei’s berserker. However, let us check out the battlefield again. MouBu and Man’U are seemingly at a stalemate, and it seems that Man’U has stronger soldiers in his ranks who have yet to show themselves. Thus, MouBu will have his hands full.
Putting aside the fact that MouBu is supposed to slay Man’U and be the key for victory, his current role is to defeat the Elite troops of Man’U. Shifting sight, we have RanbiHaki and Rokuomi. It was quite surprising when Sento’Un came in and handled both of them. That was shocking – but this is Qin. RoKuomi doesn’t have to be someone exceptional; he can make up for it with grit. He must hold off Sento’Un in Kingdom Manga 656.
Which brings us to the main charge – Tou and Ranbihaku taking down Juuko Headquarters. However, is this army shift effective? Is it all of GoHouMei’s plan? We think not. The strategist must have deeper plans and will see that they’re executed well. Apparently Tou has caught up too, which means we will get to see this execution through Tou.
MouKi said that something is missing from the field. What is that? We believe Kingdom 656 will show us this deficiency and maybe filling it will shift the tides even further. The Juuko army managed to hold of the pincer easily. That is because of 3 main reasons – multiple capable generals who are in perfect sync, the experience of the veterans and the heat of the newbies and lastly, the capable squad arrangement of Juuko.
Kingdom Chapter 656 will probably use cracks here. We believe taking down Juuko headquarters will be tough, but when it is done, the Juuko army won’t fall. Even when separated, the Generals seem too capable and will make their own decisions. Whether Qin-Wei can turn that around, that will probably be the climax.
Lastly, some Kingdom fans are expecting Shin to show up in the Juuko battle. We believe this is next to impossible. Shin is out at Zhao, waiting for his opportunity, waiting for this Juuko war to end.
Not to mention he has to travel all the way across Qin to reach the field – his army will die of exhaustion. We won’t see Shin until the next arc.
