Dr. Stone Chapter 163 will continue with this build-up phase. With every chapter, the fans get more excited about the upcoming scenes. The tension rises, the stakes keep going up, both the sides polish their fangs!
Dr. Stone is written by Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. The former was the writer of Eyeshield 21 and the latter made Sun Ken Rock. The series is currently published under Shueisha label, in the Weekly Shonen Jump manga. It has an anime adaptation with the second season coming in 2021. The sales have gone up significantly and now, it posts enough numbers to be noticed by Oricon.
Xeno’s side is getting ready to eliminate Dr. Taiju and in continuation, Senku. Senku’s side is building up their defense and sending a strong team to jump the opponent. The battle will be amazing. Now that the tunnel creation is in motion, it won’t be long until Chrome reaches Xeno.
Carlos is an important new addition. His role has been blown up. Despite the language barrier, he has realized that Taiju is a genuinely good person. He also knows about the tunnel and is shocked that a bunch of teenaged kids can accomplish so much. He is basically all of us readers!

Down the Earth-Stained Path
Chrome’s group is busy digging their tunnel. Hyoga uses his Kan Ryu Style to dig the holes. They have to dig until they reach the bedrock and then use their drill. Kaseki finishes making the drill, based on Chrome’s design. As the others wonder why it’s needed, Ryusui decides to send a strong man.
This man is Taiju. He leaves Senku’s care to Yuzuriha and moves on to deliver the drill. Taiju uses a car and on his way meets two boys from the enemy camp. The boys were arguing about who will follow the car and who will stay back to watch Luna. He invites them in anyways and Carlos takes up on the offer.
Taiju assures Carlos that Luna is in safe hands and is being treated with proper care. He is glad that despite being a spy, Luna is taking care of Senku. Turns out, Taiju sucks at driving and doesn’t even have a license. And so, Carlos has to take over.
Taiju has picked up Carlos before Ukyo had started hearing. As they reach their destination, Ukyo is forced to tie up Carlos. Taiju is mad about it but he has to go along since Carlos is Xeno’s man. They converse in Japanese, which Carlos doesn’t understand.
However, Carlos figures out their tunnel plan and is shocked that a couple of kids can do it. Carlos watches at Chrome’s squad plans to drill through the land to create a tunnel. Chrome has properly configured the system and Taiju uses the drill to easily create their tunnel.
Dr. Stone Manga 163 Spoilers:

Dr. Stone 163 will probably shift focus from Chrome’s group and show us Senku. Senku is sick but his mind is still working. He has to come up with a proper plan and he keeps working on it. His recent deception about the Petrification device hit home and now he has to build up on it.
Meanwhile, Ryusui has to come up with his own version of defense. We will see him perfectly do his task in Dr. Stone 163. We might also see some interesting conversations between Luna and Senku or Ryusui. Luna is a key part of this arc and will have a decent role going ahead.
As all of this happens, Chrome’s squad will be digging offscreen. They will create the tunnel within a fortnight. They might have some trouble but Dr. Chrome is there to figure it out. Taiju is there for any sort of physical labour. Ukyo watches out for enemies and Tsukasa is the perfect attacker. This group is pretty much settled.
However Carlos has a role now. He knows about the tunnel plan. Dr. Stone 163 or later chapters might give us a deeper look into him. If he is somehow freed from his bondage, he will probably escape quickly and inform Xeno about the tunnel plan. That will severely complicate Chrome’s journey.
Meanwhile, Xeno keeps building up his secret scientific weapon. In this upcoming Science vs Science battle, Xeno and his skilled troops will have an ace in the sleeve. It is up to Gen to figure it out and relay the intel to Senku. How he will do it is unknown but knowing Gen, he can definitely find away.
