My Hero Academia Ch. 337 Shifts Power Balance to Heroes for Upcoming War
My Hero Academia has finally revealed the UA traitor, but will this sway the tide of the upcoming battle in the heroes’ favor, or will it prove to be a weak link for them?
The traitor reveal was probably the biggest and most shocking event in the entire MHA story because no one saw it coming.
Of course, we all have considered Hagakure, Kaminari, Principal Nezu, and someone from class 1B as suspicious, but no one ever expected the quirky shiny boy Aoyama.
It truly felt like a deep betrayal because of his somewhat wholesome friendship with Deku and his role in everything their class went through.
But the question remained as to how it will practically affect the heroes, and the latest chapter answers this.
My Hero Academia’s chapter 337 shows how Aoyama’s reveal as the traitor has shifted the power balance of the upcoming war to the heroes’ side.
As the chapter unfolded, we got to see how Aoyama was forced to betray his friends because his parents’ lives were at stake.
To save Aoyama from the atrocities of being quirkless, his parents asked AFO to grant him powers, which came at a hefty price.
Aoyama explains how he hated deceiving everyone, but if he hadn’t obeyed AFO, he and his parents would have been killed mercilessly.
Due to Deku’s urge to save everyone, especially his friends, he told Aoyama how he could leave this life behind and start again on the path to be a hero.
AFO does not know that Aoyama has been revealed, and UA can use it to their benefit. For instance, they can set up a trap by providing false information or something along those lines.
At the same time, the chapter begins with AFO mentioning how his spies are just disposable pawns, and he doesn’t care if they’re killed or revealed.
This makes me wonder if the heroes really gained the upper hand or just made a fool out of themselves.
At last, Aoyama and his parents were not in AFO’s inner circle, which means they might not know about all of his plans. They only acted as a spy and conveyed what was happening at UA, so will this really help the heroes?
The Biggest Twist in MHA History: The UA Traitor
Not to forget, there might be another mole in the UA who’s still hidden, observing and reporting everything to AFO and his allies.
So will that be another twist from Horikoshi? Only time will reveal this.
