In Deep Insanity The Lost Child Episode 2, titled ‘Take 02’, the focus on the Sleeper Team allows us to delve deeper into a much more cohesive understanding of the characters and the Asylum world. The episode also proves many of the earlier stereotypes of the team wrong.

Larry, who only seems to be cheerful and impulsive at first, turns out to be more formidable than that. He’s quite the genius and he gets to show a more mature side to his personality when Daniel Kai comes to him for advice.

Reika, who seems standoffish, is actually much more self-conscious than expected. Sumire also has a past that she doesn’t readily tell others about, and switches her personality depending on the people she interacts with. Episode 2 has done good to familiarize the audience with the characters so that we are now more invested in rooting for them enough to care whether or not they will survive the Asylum.

Seeing Daniel Kai’s character more fleshed out as he experiences doubt regarding his position in the team makes him relatable and someone the audience can sympathize with.

What Can We Expect From Deep Insanity: The Lost Child Episode 3?

There are no official spoilers. However, since Episode 2 was so much better at engaging with the audience compared to Episode 1, we may expect Episode 3 to also hopefully continue this progressive upward pattern.

Fans would also love more exploration of the characters so that we can form emotional ties to their journey. This would be much more interesting rather than simply exploring Asylum without focussing on the team and the characters. From both the show’s content itself and the opening and ending sequences, it seems like the team will probably go on to be a highly important part of the series.
