My Hero Academia Novel “Sakura” Reveals Cover Art And October 4 Launch
When it comes to My Hero Academia, we are all quite familiar with its manga, anime, and movie series, but as master Yoda rightfully said, “There is another.”
And it’s none other than My Hero Academia novel series titled “School Briefs,” a collection of books that document the not so flashy side of being a high schooler with superpowers. Written by writer Anri Yoshi with mangaka Kōhei Horikoshi, the series started way back in 2016.
The official website for the Shueisha book store recently announced that a new School Briefs novel titled “Sakura” (cherry blossoms) would release on October 4, 2021. The book will be available for purchase in Japan for ¥770 or $7.
The website also released a new cover for the novel series featuring popular characters from My Hero Academia.
The cover art for the novel features tons of sakura petals, quite befitting the novel’s title. From the top, we have the Fresh-Picked Hero: Grape Juice or Minoru Mineta, the comedic soul of MHA with his face hidden by a giant sakura petal. Following him, we have Hanta Sero, the Taping Hero: Cellophane.
The center features Izuku Midoriya, flanking on his left is Shoto Todoroki, while Katsuki Bakugo and Eri flank on Izuku’s left. At the bottom, the cover features Tsuyu Asui and Momo Yaoyorozu, while sensei Eraser Head sulks to the far right of the cover.
My Hero Academia: School Briefs Sakura will be the sixth addition to the novel series.
New MHA School Briefs Novel Includes Special Story Before MVA Arc
According to the store page description, “Sakura” occurs during an unknown episode of Paranormal Liberation War Arc. Some stories covered in the novel include chapters on valentine, Setsubun and spring break.
While there is no news about an English translation for the sixth novel ‘Sakura,’ fans can expect a translation by Viz Media, as seen for the previous volumes.
