EDENS ZERO Anime Reveals Key Visual, Character Designs

The first key visual and additional cast of the TV anime Edens Zero have been announced. It is an adaptation of the manga by Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima.

The first key visual is centered around the main character, Shiki, who is played by Takuma Terashima. Rebecca, who is played Mikako Komatsu, is holding a gun. It also features Happy, a robot cat who is voiced by Rie Kugimiya.

The additional cast that was revealed includes Hiromichi Tezuka, who will play the role of Weisz Steiner, Shiori Izawa will play the role of E.M. Pino, and Shiki Aoki as Homura Kogetsu.

The Edens Zero TV anime will start broadcasting on NTV from April 10th. Also, it will be released on Hulu on the same day.

Synopsis of the series:

A young boy gazes up at the sky and sees a streaming bolt of light. The friendly, armor-clad being at his side tells him gently, “That’s a dragon.” The fact that he’s joking isn’t important. What’s important is the look of wonder on the boy’s face… and the galaxy-spanning adventure that’s about to take place!

Mashima’s Edens Zero is being serialised in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since June 2018, and is a science fiction manga with thirteen tankōbon volumes as of January 2021.

In September 2020, it was announced that Konami is working on a video game adaptation of the series.
