Golden Kamuy Manga Prepares for An Emotionally Shattering Final Arc in July
Showing the realistic aspect of a post-war setting is something that Golden Kamuy has done impeccably. Considering the things shown in it, this is one manga you will need some guts for reading.
A little trigger warning before I go on, this manga is not just a fun treasure hunt but also shows you a post-war world in its most raw form. From thoughtless killing to things like cannibalism, each arc has a new trauma inside.
After a long but utterly interesting journey, the Golden Kamuy manga by Satoru Noda will begin its final arc in Weekly Young Jump issue 35/2021, coming out on July 29th, 2021.
Noda is one hell of a mangaka for showing gory and morally gray scenes in such a way that you just want to read more and more.
Due to the brilliance of the manga and Noda’s writing, the announcement of the final arc wasn’t taken that well by the fans.
The recent chapter brought in a lot of questions. Friends and allies have started to lose trust in one another as more and more secrets come into light.
The chapter left readers hanging at gunpoint (quite literally) as Tsurumi made a surprise entry by firing at Fort Goryokaku.
Golden Kamuy Goes on Hiatus Just Before Manga’s Conclusion Arc
But one thing’s for sure, we cannot wait to see who gets the treasure. After so many challenges of getting all of the tattooed convicts, we will finally see who wins this race.
Not to forget the emotional torture that will come along with this arc :’).
Keeping in mind the latest happenings, the hunt for gold is still one as Hijikata points out that Ainu still has a lot of it left. I do have a slight feeling that we may see someone die due to Tsurumi’s surprise attack.
