With anime and manga growing out of their threshold in Japan and reaching every part of the world, there is an urgency among big players to provide services and connect the vast community.

Though there are already many similar apps, most have a clanky UI or lack the simulpub for most series. That’s where Azuki hopes to shine!

Azuki’s official website put out a press release stating that the Azuki app will start services worldwide on 28th June, excluding Japan, with both free and paid models.

The subscription will give users access to the entire catalog without any ads for a monthly price of $4.99.

KiraKira Media Inc. announced a new service to read a manga called AZUKI, starting next June 28.

The app will be available only in the English language for everyone except Japan and will be free.

Azuki has Kodansha USA as their first partner and will feature over 170 series, including but not limited to popular titles such as Attack on Titan and Fire Force. Azuki’s launch catalog covers genres from epic shonen action to sweet shoujo romance, and at the cost of just $4.99, it’s even less than the cost of a single manga volume.

The app will be available for web, iOS, and android.

Azuki also features a unique community tab where fans can discuss, comment, share opinions, recommendations, and more.

The co-founder and CEO, Abbas Jaffery, hopes that the app will support a community of fans and help them quickly connect, all while letting them read officially licensed manga.
