Sword Art Online Ends Both Project Alicization and Alicization Lycoris Manga
Whether you love it or not, Sword Art Online is one of the most popular anime that brought forth the storm of the isekai genre and visual novel adaptation!
Penned by Reki Kawahara, Sword Art Online has spawned multiple anime series, games, and manga. Even after so much success, the series has a notoriously bad reputation among the anime culture.
However, no matter the community’s opinion, the series always had winds in its sails and money in the pocket. Depending on which side of the aisle you belong to, this news could be good or bad!
According to the 29th chapter of Sword Art Online – Project Alicization manga written by Kōtarō Yamada, the manga will end on 11th June. The 30th chapter will be the final addition to the series.
The manga started serialization in August 2016, and up till now, it received four compilation volumes.
Additionally, official sources at Kadokawa’s Dengeki Playstation Comic Web Service announced that the manga adaptation of the Alicization Lycoris game ended on May 14. Kadokawa will publish the final and third compilation volume of the manga on 27 July.
The Alicization Lycoris manga does not follow the original Alicization: War of the underworld arc. Though set in the same setting as the anime, the manga differs midway into the story.
The Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is a JRPG that promises to bring the game-like world of SAO closer than ever in a video game. It follows the Alicization arc. However, the player can choose the different game route to play.
The game is available on Playstation, Xbox, and PC through Steam. The manga adaptation is a treat for any fan of the franchise!
