Tower of God is Back!!! Webtoon Announces TOG Comeback After 1-Year Hiatus
Tower of God, a manhwa by SIU, became immensely popular last year but went on an indefinite hiatus at the peak of its fame.
Fans were disappointed since the South Korean manhwa had a unique writing style and story that captured the hearts of many. It made us all hooked on it bad; so naturally, its sudden break and temporary discontinuation broke our hearts.
But!!!! It is finally back now!
Webtoon announced today on Twitter that Tower of God is returning on Webtoon in Summer 2021!
The manhwa is a dark fantasy that was released on the Naver Webtoon. It was later released in English on the Line Webtoon app.
It started in June 2010 and went on a hiatus in 2020 in the middle of an ongoing arc due to the writer Lee Jong-Hui’s health issues.
It was an indefinite break since no comeback date was given, but that has changed now.
The last chapter released before the manhwa went on a break was Chapter 68 of Season 3, The Second Defensive Wall Pt. 2.
Fans had been waiting desperately for Chapter 69, but it got delayed due to SIU’s health further. We later found out that the writer was overworking himself and wanted some time off Webtoon.
So far in the story was left on a cliffhanger when Princess Mascheny Jahad captured Ha Jinsung as bait for Baam.
Moreover, Kallavan was betrayed by Lyborick Khun, and Kallavan and Baam joined forces to take revenge.
Tower of God also received an anime adaptation in April 2020 and a total of 13 episodes have come out till now. It was directed by Takashi Sano and written by Erika Yoshida.

Tower of God is a South Korean web-toon written and drawn by Lee Jong-hui, also known by the pen-name SIU.
The story revolves around a boy named Baam. Baam only has one person that he loves and cares about, and that is his friend Rachel.
When Rachel goes into the Tower, Baam follows her. Rachel vanishes, and thus Baam starts his journey to get her back.
