As of now, not much is known about the film so far. However, it was mentioned in the early stages of production that the movie is going to focus on the characters of Gabriel Agreste. Ladybug and Cat Noir Awakening will address his character arc so far. After the disappearance of Emilie Agreste, his demeanor became strict, and the man could never live a life of peace.

Written by Jeremy Zag, the Miraculous Ladybug Awakening Movie will be a product of Toei Animation and Gloob. The movie will have many recurring faces from the original series. The list of cast members from the movie includes Cristina Valenzuela in the role of Ladybug. Alongside her, Bryce Papenbrook plays the role of Cat Noir. Keith Silverstein will return for the role of Hawk Moth.
Other cast members include Zeno Robinson as Nino Lahiffe, Cassandra Lee Morris as Sabrina Raincomprix, Carrie Keranen as Alya Cesaire, and Christopher Corey Smith as Tom Dupain.
