Famous Illustrator Cogecha Passes Away In June 2020; Family Shares News to Fans
Just when you thought 2020 had taken enough lives, in 2021, we find out about another one added to the list and this time it’s an illustrator famous for his beautiful art.
The illustrator is Cogecha, who was a well-known name among manga lovers for his beautiful cover art illustrations.
On January 15th, Cogecha’s family took to Twitter to announce the news of his passing. They said he had passed away in June 2020.
The letter which was written by their family also mentioned that his death was caused by a sudden workplace accident. The police investigated his death and ruled it as a death caused by accident and not something done with ill-intent.
The Cogecha we all loved and knew was famous for illustrating his artworks in covers for novels like Miilion Crown, Invisible Sweethearts, Gravity Alchemic, Shoujo Teikoku, and Sayonara wo Ienai mama.
Cogecha’s well known works also include the visually mesmerizing cover art for the 11th Volume of Fate/Grand Order under the Dengeki Comic Anthology work.

Cogecha also collaborated with Hatsune Miku to illustrate the music video Ghost City Tokyo by Ayase ft. Hatsune Miku.
We will truly miss Cogecha’s beautiful art and hope he rests in peace.
