NHK Announces 4-Part Series To Discuss The Charm Of Anime

Anime and manga have, no doubt, influenced the lives of its fans. I’m not just talking about using “baka” instead of stupid or cosplaying as anime characters. I’m talking about a change that it brings into the thoughts and perspectives of people.

A lot of genuinely inspiring anime series/films are out there. Anime which teaches us to be happy with the simplest things in life, anime which teaches us about heroic qualities in humans, and much more.

NHK Animation is now bringing us a four-part series that will discuss the charm of anime.

An official tweet by NHK has announced the upcoming 4 episode series called “My Anime Narrative.”

Series, “My Anime Narrative” will be broadcast!

Fans from various fields will enthusiastically talk about the charm of anime that should be seen now four times.

9/21 (Monday) “Log Horizon”

9/28 (Mon) “Future Boy Conan”

10/5 (Monday) “Kingdom”

10/12 (Monday) “Attack on Titan”

The series will be discussing the merits of anime through four selected titles, namely, Log Horizon, Future Boy Conan, Kingdom, and Attack on Titan. The series will be broadcast on the E Tele channel.

The schedule of episodes is

i. 21st September: Log Horizon

Log Horizon 2 is scheduled for a 4th October release. The story revolves around an online game which has become massively successful.

However, 30,000 Japanese gamers who were logged-in find themselves inside the game one day. They are all dressed as their avatar and in similar clothing.

Shiroe, a socially awkward player, and his friends team up to face the challenges posed by the game, which is now their reality.

ii. 28th September: Future Boy Conan

The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where most of Earth has been destroyed except a few small islands.

In one of those islands lives a boy called Conan. Conan meets a girl named Lana, and they set out on an adventure to the other islands.

As they travel and face obstacles, a love deepens between them.

iii. 5th October: Kingdom

Xin and Piao are two orphans who work in the Kingdom of Qin during the Warring States period in China.

One day Piao was taken away by a minister and was later used as a body double for the king of Qin.

Although Xin was angry at Piao’s death, he strives to become the “Greatest General in the World.”

iv. 12th October: Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan Season 4 is supposed to be released in October 2020. Humanity lives inside walls to protect itself from monsters called Titans.

Eren and his friends Mikasa and Armin enlist in the military to save lives.

However, Eren himself suddenly transforms into a titan. What lies beyond the walls, and where are these titans coming from?
