Owarimonogatari Volume 1 Synopsis
The narrator, Koyomi Araragi, recounts the tale of how he became a loner; he opines that friendships only lowered his intensity as a human.
Araragi meets Oshino Ougi, and they get involved in what they believe to be an oddity. They find a mysterious room from which they can’t escape.
Both of them are trapped in the room, and Koyomi discovers that it is his freshman year classroom. He remembers the tragedy which occurred in the said class, which made him unsocial.
Our protagonist’s capacities are tested, and the incidents that built his demeanour is exposed. He becomes a part of a scandal and is forced to face a web of recollections.
Volume 1 of Owarimonogatari light novel was first published in October 2013, and the next two volumes were published in January 2014 and April 2014, respectively.
About Monogatari
The Monogatari series is based on a series of light novels by Nisio Isin, which revolves around Koyomi Araragi, a third-year high school student who comes up against a legendary vampire during his spring break and barely survives the encounter.
In the series, Koyomi finds himself involved with girls afflicted by “oddities.”
To deal with these, Koyomi relies on supernatural guidance from Oshino and, later, from Shibonu, the once-powerful vampire who attacked him and now has taken the appearance of an eight-year-old girl.
