Fujita’s ninth compiled book volume of Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku revealed today that a limited edition 10th volume would be shipped for the series.
The limited-edition 10th compiled volume will bundle the manga’s second original anime disc in 2021. This original episode will focus on Naoya and Kō.
Fujita also drew an illustration to commemorate 10 million copies in circulation.
Ichijinsha, who publishes the series, also released a promotional video online to commemorate the same.
The outdoor AINZ & TULPE Shinjuku East Exit Multivision store screens in Tokyo will also show virtual fireworks every day from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m between August 5 and 9.
Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku had previously received an anime adaptation by Yoshimasa Hiraike at Studio A-1 Pictures. The anime later received an OVA in 2019.
Both the adaptations had received only average reviews even though it was adapted from a well-received Web Manga.
The announcement of an original anime episode has fans intrigued about what it’ll bring to the franchise.
