The year 2020 has been full of anime and manga delays. But it is also becoming a year when old mangas are returning from their breaks or announcing anime adaptations.
It isn’t uncommon for mangakas to go on a break due to the effects of strenuous work on their health. Many popular manga creators have complained of severe health problems and been forced to take a break due to their health.
The 35th issue of this year’s Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine announced on Monday that Yu Hayato’s spinoff manga Ushijima the Loan Shark: The Legend of Nikumamushi will return from its break this summer.
Yamikin Ushijima-Kun Nikumamushi Densetsu focusing on Nikumamushi went on a break in April 2019. The break was announced in the spinoff manga’s 50th chapter.
Yu Hayato had launched the spinoff manga with the original manga’s writer Shohei Manabe on Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits online magazine on February 28, 2017.
Ushijima the Loan Shark: The Legend of Nikumamushi focuses on Nikumamushi’s life.
