Top 10 Strongest Nomu of All Time in My Hero Academia, Ranked!
Doctor Kyudai Garaki’s artificial humans, better known as Nomu, are zombie-like monsters powerful enough to take on Heroes – and in some cases, even Pro Heroes.
These villains are embedded with multiple Quirks and are meant to blindly and mindlessly follow orders given to them. With experimentation, new Nomu were created who had a will of their own and could battle intelligently against Heroes.
There are currently 5 tiers of Nomu, mainly based on their intelligence, strength, and Quirks: Low-End, Mid-End, Upper-End, Near-High-End, and High-End.
This list contains the 10 strongest Nomu in My Hero Academia, and will mostly include Upper-End to High-End Nomu.

Eleph was one of the intelligent High-End Nomu created by Doctor Garaki in his lab at Jaku General Hospital.
During the Paranormal Liberation War arc, Doctor Kyudai releases Eleph and 4 other High-End Nomu to push Mirko back as he attends to Tomura Shigaraki.
Eleph’s name gives away his biggest strength – his ability to become almost elephant-like. The Elephant Quirk let him double his strength and senses, in addition to giving him a trunk.
His size and bulkage allowed him to rip off a clump of Mirko’s hair and hold her down.
9 The Hosu Trio (4-Eyes, Eyeless, Wing)
Human Host – Unknown
Quirk(s) – Absorption & Release, Muscle Augmentation, Tongue Web, Wing Quirk, Super Regeneration
Quirks | 8 |
Raw Strength | 9 |
Speed | 8 |
Intelligence | 0 |
Tactical Skill | 5 |
Damage Caused | 8 |
Total | 38 |
The Hosu trio consisted of a Lower-End 4-eyed Nomu, a Mid-End winged Nomu, and an Upper-End eyeless Nomu.
I’ve considered them together since we’ve only seen them attack together and not individually. Their Quirks, combined, were enough to pull Gran Torino and Endeavor to stop them.
In the Hero Killer arc, the trio wreaked absolute havoc in the city of Hosu, and easily overpowered Manual and other Pro Heroes present.
8 Robot
Human Host – A Villain with a Penchant for Combat
Quirk(s) – Super Regeneration, Spatial Distortion Quirk, Eye Beam Quirk
Quirks | 9 |
Raw Strength | 6 |
Speed | 5 |

Robot was one of the intelligent High-End Nomu created by Doctor Garaki in his lab at Jaku General Hospital.
During the Paranormal Liberation War arc, Robot ripped off Mirko’s arm using his awesome Spatial Distortion Quirk.
7 The Near-High-End Nomu
Human Host – Unknown
Quirk(s) – Burst, Wing
Quirks | 8 |
Raw Strength | 9 |
Speed | 8 |
Intelligence | 0 |
Tactical Skill | 6 |
Damage Caused | 8 |
Total | 39 |
Near-End Nomu are more powerful that Upper-End Nomu but less powerful that High-Ends.
The power of these Nomu is difficult to deal with, even for the Pro Heroes. Their abilities are similar to High-End Nomu, except they lack their intelligence.
By the end of the Paranormal Liberation arc, there were only 7 Near-High-Ends left out of 10. In the following arcs, we see them being commanded by “Tomura” and later cause havoc on Okuto Island.
6 Chubs
Human Host – A Glutton
Quirk(s) – Super Regeneration, Body Expansion Quirk, Mouth Quirk, Metal Teeth Quirk
Quirks | 7 |
Raw Strength | 9 |
Speed | 5 |
Intelligence | 7 |
Tactical Skill | 7 |
Damage Caused | 7 |
Total | 42 |
Chubs was one of the intelligent High-End Nomu created by Doctor Garaki in his lab at Jaku General Hospital.
Using his Metal Teeth Quirk, Chubs managed to chomp through Hero shields.
His Body Expansion Quirk helped him swell to a massive size and prevent any heroes from interfering with the mission assigned to Woman and other High-End Nomu of executing Mirko in the Paranormal Liberation War arc.
5 USJ Nomu
Human Host – A Small-time Thug
Quirk(s) – Shock Absorption, Super Regeneration
Quirks | 10 |
Raw Strength | 10 |
Speed | 9 |
Intelligence | 0 |
Tactical Skill | 7 |
Damage Caused | 9 |
Total | 45 |
The U.S.G. Nomu is probably the most well-known Nomu in the series. A lot of fans still think he’s the strongest Nomu, but the USG Nomu was one of the first Nomu introduced to us and there have been much stronger ones in the series since.
He could go toe-to-toe with All Might, and while this is a tremendous feat, he was specifically built to battle him, which was how he had the power to match him.
USG Nomu’s Shock Absorption Quirk was cool to witness, but since he’s just an Upper-End Nomu, other High-End Nomu are naturally stronger than him.
I do hope USG Nomu is augmented further and returns in the final arc.
4 Ribby
Human Host – A Psychotic Serial Killer
Quirk(s) – Super Regeneration, Antennae Quirk, Rib Cage Quirk
Quirks | 5 |
Raw Strength | 7 |
Speed | 7 |
Intelligence | 9 |
Tactical Skill | 9 |
Damage Caused | 9 |
Total | 46 |
Ribby was one of the intelligent High-End Nomu created by Doctor Garaki in his lab at Jaku General Hospital.
Ribby actively worked with Woman during the Paranormal Liberation War arc to try and kill Mirko. He used his antennae to impale Mirko, and managed to cut her chest and legs. He was also able to slice her ear right off.
Even without her Quirks, Ribby could easily crush Eraser Head’s leg and defend himself against Endeavor’s Jet Burn.
3 Woman
Human Host – An Intelligent, Bloodthirsty Villain
Quirk(s) – Super Regeneration, Liquification, Rupture
Quirks | 7 |
Raw Strength | 5 |
Speed | 7 |
Intelligence | 9 |
Tactical Skill | 9 |
Damage Caused | 9 |
Total | 46 |
Woman was one of the intelligent High-End Nomu created by Doctor Garaki in his lab at Jaku General Hospital. She was the impromptu leader of the 5 High-End Nomu released to keep Mirko at bay.
Woman was more coherent and analytical than other Nomu, even the greatest one, Hood. She quickly identified when Eraser Head was supressing the High-Ends’ Quirks.
She combined her Liquefaction and Rupture Quirks to dodge attacks and fire shots at the same time. She created a brilliant attack tactic that injured Erasure Head and save Ribby from Endeavor.
2 Kurogiri
Human Host – Class 2-A Student, Oboro Shirakumo
Quirk(s) – Warp Gate
Quirks | 10 |
Raw Strength | 5 |
Speed | 6 |
Intelligence | 10 |
Tactical Skill | 10 |
Damage Caused | 7 |
Total | 48 |
Teleportation Quirks are exceedingly rare, and even among them, Kurogiri’s is special. Warp Gate gives him the ability to generate and manipulate a dark fog which acts like a portal to other places.
Anything that comes in contact with it, is instantly transported to whatever location Kurogiri wants.
Since his Quirk is so versatile, Tomura uses it to teleport and gain the advantage during battle. Kurogiri has fought against immensely powerful opponents like Thirteen, All Might, and Gran Torino.
1 Hood
Human Host – A Street Punk
Quirk(s) – Muscle Augmentation, Super Regeneration, Shoulder-Mounted Jets, Transforming Arms, Power, Storage
Quirks | 10 |
Raw Strength | 10 |
Speed | 9 |
Intelligence | 8 |
Tactical Skill | 8 |
Damage Caused | 10 |
Total | 55 |
Hood is the strongest Nomu of all time in My Hero Academia. He had 6 powerful Quirks, the power of flight, a high level of intelligence, and a superior level of regeneration. He was strong enough to push Endeavor and Hawks, the No. 1 & 2 Pro Heroes, to their limits.
Hood was a league of his own. His battle prowess and raw strength alone could overpower Endeavor and Hawks. It took the joined effort of both to take him down.
If it weren’t for Endeavor’s flames, Hood would’ve continued to regenerate. He outclassed Hawks in terms of strength and was as fast as him, despite Hawks being known for his speed.
He also had the most Quirks, more than all Nomu, and most other Heroes. Quirks like Muscle Augmentation and Power were perfectly suited to his combat style, which made him near-invincible.
