On January 6, the anime Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel will premiere.
The release of “The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War,” the next animated installment in Nihon Falcom’s role-playing game series, was originally scheduled for this year, but has now been pushed back to 2023. A new trailer has just been released, and it shows the exact release date, so we know when to expect it.
A new promotional video for “The Legend of Heroes…” anime has been released by Tatsunoko Production and the show’s official website. On January 6, the series will premiere on DMM TV before expanding to Tokyo MX, BS 12, and AT-X.
Chisato Akita sings the opening theme, “The story so far” (MIT GATHERING). The series will be available on Crunchyroll for viewers outside of Asia.
The video game franchise’s creator, Nihon Falcom, revealed in March 2021 that an anime adaptation of “Trails of Cold Steel” would debut in the following year, in 2022. However, at the end of January 2022, the year was changed to 2023.

The series is being produced by Tatsunoko Production, and Hidekazu Sato is serving as the show’s director. The scripts are being written by Hideki Ryoga and Mao Emura. Shoji Hara created the character designs, but Mina Osawa will be handling the series.
The occurrences of the war between Erebonia and North Ambria, which takes place between Trails of Cold Steel II and Trails of Cold Steel III, will be explored in Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War.

North Ambria, the poorest part of the Zemurian continent, is where Lavian was born. She enlists in the Northern Jaegers to look out for her country, and later goes on a spy mission to Erebonia to learn more about the “Imperial Hero” plot, which poses a danger to North Ambria.
