The United States And Canada Will Get The Progressive Sequel To Sword Art Online On February 3.
The second Sword Art Online: Progressive film has hit Japanese theaters, and its international debut is still in the works. Some of the dates have finally been announced, so the waiting is over.
On Tuesday, Crunchyroll and Aniplex US announced that the second season of Sword Art Online would premiere in the United States and Canada on February 3, 2023, under the title Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of a Deep Night.
On February 1, 2023, the film will debut in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and on February 2, it will do the same in Australia and New Zealand.
Just Europe and Latin America remain, and their respective release dates will be confirmed shortly. Releases of the film will be made in both Japanese (with English subtitles) and English.
The 22nd of October saw the initial release of Scherzo of a Deep Knight in Japan. All of the actors from the prior film are back to continue their starring roles. The film has made 1.076 billion yen ($7.97 million) as of the 6th of December.
Reki Kawahara’s Progressive series is an enlarged retelling of Kirito’s time in Aincrad. The first movie version, Aria of a Starless Night, came out in October of 2021. Both films are A-1 Pictures productions.
Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of a Deep Night
Scherzo of a Deep Night, the sequel to Sword Art Online: Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night, is a film in the Sword Art Online: Progressive series. This is the sequel to the first film in the -Progressive- series, which is based on the Sword Art Online series.
The Aincrad plotline from the novel is expanded upon in the film adaptation. The deadly fifth floor of Aincrad is where Scherzo of a Deep Night takes place, a floor that Kirito and his crew must clear.
Kirito and Asuna are caught in the middle of a fight between two major guilds, the Aincrad Liberation Squad and the Dragon Knights Brigade. Something else is going on, and an unknown person seems to be in charge.
