As we saw in the prior chapter, Spiders have been investigating Heil-ly lairs to learn more about their operation. They need to find the family’s hidden safe house. They were trying every possible entrance in an effort to discover what or who was setting off the traps.

Then a man was brought in, ushered through the door, and vanished. Traps of the kind described by Nobunaga, he argued, were landmines. A second individual was brought in, but he vanished as well. Feitan suggested they go in through the door because it would be more convenient. Suddenly, Wang and Hinrigh emerged and stopped them.

Hinrigh then offered assistance, saying that he would be glad to assist them and suggesting that they use a transmitter to track the man who was entering the building. In the end, this could be the deciding factor in whether or not they succeed. Without wasting any time, he took a transmitter, disguised it as a raw oyster, and announced that he would be the bait this time. Because Hinrigh didn’t waste words, he impressed Nobunaga.

When Hinrigh investigated further, he realized the trap was empty. After Hinrigh had gone through the door, Nobunaga followed suit. They then formed a squad and went into the rooms. Nen stood in the way when Nobunaga tried to break through a wall. They were basically going door to door, unsure of what to do. In the final moments of the story, they stood before the final door.
