The upcoming Season 3 of One Punch Man will be animated by MAPPA.
While the tone of One Punch Man is comedic and lighthearted, the animation is anything but. People seem to really enjoy this anime because the studio really puts in the effort whenever they have to animate a fight scene.
A recent announcement from the franchise teased that the anime would be returning for a second season, but gave no other details.
One Punch Man’s third season will be animated by MAPPA, according to a reliable leak.
This is a huge development for the franchise, but it has not been officially announced just yet. Since it was leaked on Shonenleaks, it’s probably true, but let’s wait for official word from MAPPA or the franchise before we start throwing parties.
It’s likely that the animators at MAPPA are the least pleased by this development. I can’t even begin to fathom the working conditions at this company, which seemingly acquires new popular titles from major franchises every day.
The season returns with a teaser image of Saitama and Garou in a head-to-head confrontation. If season 3 is any indication, we haven’t seen anything yet compared to the thrilling fights that will occur between the two.
As the season progresses, the Monster Association arc will introduce new monsters for the heroes to deal with in addition to the Garou. The world could end at any moment if Monster King Orochi decides to make a move.
Even with Saitama on our side, Orochi appears to be a strong foe. Is Orochi capable of giving Saitama a good fight? Or will Saitama also only need one punch to take him out?

MAPPA is currently working on a number of different projects, including the conclusion of AOT, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Vinland Saga, and more. While I can’t predict the outcome of the One Punch Man anime, I can guarantee that it will be fantastic.
In spite of this, I know I’ll miss the classic animation styles of Madhouse and J.C. Staff
One Punch Man
The Japanese artist One created the webcomic One-Punch Man in 2009. Both a manga (illustrated by Yusuke Murata) and an anime (also by Murata) have been made based on the story. The webcomic quickly gained popularity after its release, eventually receiving more than 7.9 million hits by June 2012.
There have been powerful monsters and villains wreaking havoc on the cities of an unnamed Earth-like supercontinent planet. The global government has responded to this threat by forming the Hero Association and staffing it with superheroes. Heroes are classified from “Class C” to “Class S.”
Saitama, a hero with no allies, is a native of City-Z who engages in heroic acts for the thrill of it. He has pushed himself to the point of breaking his “limit,” and can now easily kill monsters and defeat any opponent with a single punch thanks to all the training he has put in. But now that he has achieved complete mastery, he is bored with his own power and frustrated because he feels he has no longer any challenges to overcome.
