Sound Euphonium Film: All Set For Theatrical Release, Release Date & Other Information
As of this past Tuesday, Kyoto Animation announced that the Sound Euphonium anime’s “Ensemble Concert” arc will soon be screened in Japanese theaters. The first anime television series based on the franchise premiered in April 2015 with 13 episodes. The anime was broadcast live on Crunchyroll, and home media distribution was handled by Pony Canyon USA. The Gekij-ban Hibike was modeled after the popular anime. It is a “flashback” film directed by Kitauji Koko and it premiered in April of 2016. The whole picture is laid out below.
Kyoto Animation has previously hinted that they want to turn the Concert story into a “medium-length” anime. Both theatrical and home video releases of the anime are planned. The director of the Kyoto Animation series will be Tatsuya Ishihara once again. The story of Kumiko’s junior year of high school was told in two books by the pioneering light novelist Ayano Takeda. Volume 1 was released in April of 2019, and Volume 2 followed in June of the same year. At the end of that year, Kyoto Animation announced two more animated features. Casting Mizore Yoroizuka and Nozomi Kasaki in the lead roles, Liz and the Blue Bird made its debut in Japan in April 2018.
Sound Euphonium Film: Official Information
Kyoto Animation’s Sound! Euphonium’s “Ensemble Concert” arc will be the subject of an original video animation (OVA), with a trailer for the project premiering on December 27, 2022. The OVA will have its world premiere in Japan very soon. First, the anime will be released in theaters, and then on Blu-ray. Naoko Yamada is the show’s executive producer, and Tatsuya Ishihara is the animator in charge.
The second season of the musical drama Euphonium premiered in October 2016, and it consists of 13 episodes. During the original airing, Crunchyroll started streaming reruns of the anime, and Pony USA released it on home video. The 2017 retrospective film originated with the premiere of the second season of the anime that same month. It was released by Eleven Arts in theaters across the United States in November 2018 with subtitles in both Japanese and English.
What’s The Story About?
Kumiko Oumae, a freshman at Kitauji High School, has resolved to leave her troubled past in the past. She tried to make a clean break, but eventually wound up back in the school band again. With the help of her friends Sapphire Kawashima and Hazuki Katou, she is now able to play the euphonium. The band is in such disrepair that they won’t even be able to compete at the regional Sunfest, let alone the national level. The band’s new advisor, Noboru Taki, gives them the option of relaxing and having fun or working hard to compete at the national level.
Due to her fear of repeating her middle school blunders, Kumiko is hesitating to try out for nationals. In the midst of this upheaval, she finds out that her rival from their days in the band, Reina Kousaka, has joined the Kitauji band club. By pushing them to their limits, Noboru trains Kumiko and the rest of the band to perform at their best. They had to put aside their disagreements and work together as a team if they wanted to succeed.
Sound Euphonium Anime: Publication Schedule
