The titular assassin of Akame Ga Kill!, Akame can execute any living target with a single slash of her blade. When she cuts someone with Murasame, she can inject a deadly curse that spreads rapidly through the blood.
But even if the curse weren’t in place, her enemies still wouldn’t survive to tell the tale. Akame is a gifted supersoldier who can dispatch any foe with a combination of quick reflexes and deadly accuracy.
Sakata Gintoki: Gintama
Gintama is a fantastic comedy, but its audience must not forget the greatness of Sakata Gintoki. His personal “White Yaksha” nickname came from the Joi War battlefields. He single-handedly slaughtered the entire Amanto army.
Even though Gin no longer uses his steel blade, he is still a formidable opponent with his Lake Toya sword. He uses it to cut through entire Shinsengumi robots and even the steel of the Shinsengumi’s own weapons.
Mugen: Samurai Champloo
The Mugen of Samurai Champloo has a brutal fighting style that serves him well both in dodging and unleashing devastating attacks. This sleazy hero combines many forms of martial arts and swordplay with breakdancing from the hip-hop genre.
On the battlefield and the dance floor, Mugen consistently displays some of the most impressive moves ever. Mugen is one of the most dangerous samurai due to his nerve-wracking manner and propensity to use some dirty tricks.
Ichigo Kurosaki: Bleach
Ichigo Kurosaki is only one of many famous swordsmen in the Bleach manga, but he is among the most skilled. After years of practice as a Soul Reaper, Ichigo eventually proved to be nearly unstoppable. Ichigo’s Bankai gave him superhuman speed and a decisive advantage in every fight.
When it comes to Shonen characters, Ichigo represents the pinnacle of coolness. His unrivaled skill with the blade and tough-guy demeanor are more than enough to win over any audience.
