Kodansha USA Has Three New Digital Titles Coming Out In May!
Kodansha, a manga publishing firm, has produced some of the most widely read manga in history. It has also started releasing manga online to add to its growing collection.
Kodansha’s online collection is far larger than its print title catalog because not all titles are printed.
Kodansha USA announced on Thursday that three new titles will be available digitally in May. Let’s check them out:
1. How to Grill Our Love
Author: Shiori Hanatsuka
Release Date: May 5
Kenta, a 30-year-old BBQ enthusiast, has had a hard time finding love. Designer Chihiro Yamaguchi becomes his friend. Everything is going great between the two until Kenta has to transfer. Chihiro pops the question, and the happy couple wed.
The couple now has the added challenge of a long-distance marriage and social ineptitude to overcome. Having a BBQ with some close friends and family members could help things go more smoothly.
2. Small Nozomi and Big Yume
Author: Sou Hamayumiba
Release Date: May 16
Nozomi Koiwa, a high school student, wakes up one day to find that she has lost both her memory and her height. After narrowly avoiding a cat attack, she runs into Yume, a non-working, income-eligible, and out-of-school youth (NEET).
Nozomi manages to convince Yume that she is a figment of Yume’s own imagination there to save her. She’d also like to know why she’s been treated this way. But it’s possible that they’ll soon see how much they rely on one another.
3. The World of Summoning
Author: Yūki Kodama
Release Date: May 30
Tokoyo is raised in the Fantasy District after being abandoned, in a world where anything can be called from another dimension. Tokoyo decides to train as a Summoner so that he can aid the local population of Summoned people.
Upon arriving in Tokyo, a city where the Summoned face discrimination, he is warned that he has little chance of making it as a Summoner. Next, he makes the conscious decision to serve as an intermediary between humanity and the Summoned.
There are only three books, but did you take note of the breadth of subject matter they cover? One is a comedy, another is an action fantasy, and the third is a slice-of-life story about a married couple. We can classify these tales as a varied anthology, despite their brevity.
