New Promo Confirms Season 5 of “Bungo Stray Dogs” to Begin in July
‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ season five is set to further label the Armed Detective Agency as terrorists, so things aren’t looking good for them. Having their good names restored is now crucial, but so is recovering the page that Decay of the Angel stole.
Both the “Kamui Revelation” and the “Vampire Infection Outbreak” story arcs from the main manga will be covered in this season.
Another promotional video for the fifth season of “Bungo Stray Dogs” was published by Kadokawa on Thursday. The video not only premieres the series’ opening song, but also confirms the July 12 launch date for the anime. The season will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
The bulk of the video depicts Ochi Fukuchi making speeches to several nations in an effort to form a counter-terrorist force. Additionally, it depicts numerous conflicts between the Hunting Dogs and the Agency. In addition, there are brief appearances by vampires that guarantee the current arc, “Vampire Infection Outbreak,” will be addressed.
The opening theme, “Tetsu no Ori” (Iron Cell), was performed by GRANRODEO. It was also confirmed that Luck Life’s “Kiseki” (Trails) would be playing at the credits.
Atsushi and the other members of the Decay of the Angel terrorist group will continue to demonstrate their innocence in the future season by tracking down and killing their commander, Kamui. In addition, it will reveal Kamui’s fourth and last phase of his plan to conquer humanity.
Seasons one through four each had 12 or 13 episodes, so it’s reasonable to assume the same for season five.
All of the regulars and key crew members are back for Season 5. Members of the following teams are contributing to Season 5.
Position | Staff | Other Works |
Director | Takuya Igarashi | Ojamajo Doremi, Soul Eater |
Scriptwriter | Yoji Enokido | Nodame Cantabile: Paris |
Character Design | Nobuhiro Arai (also Chief Animation Director) | Chaika – The Coffin Princess |
Music | Taku Iwasaki | Akame ga KILL!, Kekkaishi |
Animation Production | BONES | Darker than Black, My Hero Academia |
It’s possible that the sixth season won’t come for a while because Season 5 will wrap up pretty much everything left in the canon manga. The end of ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ is not in sight, either, as the franchise has a few potential offshoots to adapt.
