Has Kurama Really Passed Away? What Happened to the Adorable Nine-Tailed Fox?
Since the beginning of the Boruto manga, readers have been on the edge of their seats, fearing for Naruto’s life. We failed to give any thought to the likelihood of Kurama’s death, and he unhappily met that end.
His character went full circle from being the one responsible for killing his parents to dying to save Naruto.
During the fierce struggle with Isshiki Ohtsutsuki, Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox, lost his life. His death startled Naruto because it was caused by their excessive usage of chakra in Baryon mode. All of Kurama’s chakra and powers were cut off from him as well.
He had tricked Naruto into thinking that entering Baryon Mode would be fatal for them both. After defeating Isshiki, however, Kurama acknowledged that it was his own life he was endangering rather than Naruto’s.
Since the Boruto manga began, the entire Naruto community has worried about his possible death, but we never stopped to worry about Kurama’s, and now he is dead.
In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations chapter 55, Kurama, the Nine-tailed fox and Naruto’s comrade, perished from exhaustion while using Baryon mode against Isshiki Ohtsutsuki.
It’s true that everyone—including Sasuke, Boruto, Kawaki, and Kurama—might have been killed if Naruto had known his partner could die in Baryon mode.
Spoilers for the anime series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will be revealed on this page.
1. Can we hope for Kurama’s resurrection? Can he start over anew?
There are many supporters who refuse to acknowledge Kurama’s passing. They are still holding out hope that he will make a full recovery and return to their lives. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that’s not going to happen.
Kurama will not be revived because his chakra was completely depleted while in Baryon state. Chakra is their very substance, hence a tailed beast can never perish. It is impossible for Kurama to be reborn at this time because his chakra no longer exists.
This is a bitter truth, and I understand it. When he had that touching moment with Naruto, he knew it was their last.
It’s not a coincidence that Sasuke lost his Rinnegan about the time he left. The death of Kurama symbolizes the end of an era.
2. How about a new tailed beast for Naruto?
The Code-made Ten-tails troops have a remote chance of becoming trapped inside Naruto, reverting him to a jinchuriki. But the question is not whether Naruto is can; rather, it is whether he will.
Due to the fact that Kurama had a special place in Naruto’s heart, he will not be getting a new tailed beast simply for the sake of increasing his might. It’s also improbable that Naruto will become a jinchuriki since that everyone’s attention is on Boruto and Kawaki.
After Kurama was killed and Sasuke lost his Rinnegan, their respective personalities began to take a backseat. Improving the quality of life for future generations is of paramount importance.
3. How vulnerable is Naruto without Kurama?
Naruto was widely regarded as the most powerful ninja of all time due to his incredible physical prowess. But there’s no disputing that he’s not as potent as he once was after losing Kurama.Even if he’s without a tail, that doesn’t mean he’s powerless.
Without Kurama, Naruto is in no way diminished. He can still use Six Paths Sage Mode, Toad Sage Mode, the Rasengan, and the Rasenshuriken, and he has access to enormous stores of chakra. It’s possible, though, that Boruto will fail to stand up to his new foes.
Since Naruto is no longer the main character, the sequel will not focus on making him more powerful than he already is.
The series emphasizes how much Kurama’s death has diminished Naruto’s abilities. Shikamaru, too, was worried about Naruto facing Code alone.
Here’s the bright side: if adult Naruto has weakened not only from losing Kurama but also from a lack of severe confrontations, these new conflicts in Boruto may serve as the impetus he needs to start training again.
But Boruto is still the story’s major hero, so Naruto won’t regain his former strength overnight.
4. When does Kurama perish and in what episode?
Among the deaths we’ve seen, Kurama’s is one of the most devastating. We’ve watched him mature alongside Naruto from the beginning.
In the manga, Kurama perished in Chapter 55; in the anime, he was killed off in Episode 218. The nine-tailed fox said goodbye to Naruto, pleading with him to have a long and happy life.
When fighting Isshiki in the Kawaki Arc, Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, and Kawaki all ended up in a wacky parallel universe where Isshiki had the upper hand.
Kurama saw that their typical combat strategy wouldn’t be enough to defeat Isshiki when Naruto confronted him head-on. In order to activate Baryon Mode, he made a deal with Naruto.
When Baryon Mode depleted, everything went downhill after they had destroyed Isshiki. As Kurama’s life force began to wane, our emotions mirrored Naruto’s.
