Sound! Euphonium light novel started in December 2013 and finished in June 2019. During this time, 12 light novel volumes came out. Regarding sales in 2019, there were 1.4 million copies of the light novel circulation. A manga adaptation also followed the light novel in 2014, but it wasn’t well taken by the audience in comparison to the light novel. Thus, the manga adaptation has only three volumes.

If fans want to know what is going to happen next in the series and don’t want to wait for nine months, then they can start reading the light novel from Volume 11.
