Ranma 1/2 Episode 3 began with Ranma Saotome having nightmares after learning about Tatewaki Kuno’s crush. Kuno had a crush on Ranma’s female version that he learned from Akane Tendo. That led to the fight between Kuno and Ranma as the former wanted to meet his crush, unaware of the person’s true identity. While things escalated between them, Ranma finally won the battle. The episode was filled with several comedic moments where Akane’s sister, Nabiki, sold pictures of her and Ranma to Kuno.
Since Ranma was injured, he was later sent to Dr. Tufo’s office to be treated. There, he learned that his fiance had a crush on the doctor. This saddened Ranma, and he decided to win Akane’s heart. Meanwhile, he discovered Tufo liked Akane’s oldest sister, Kasumi. After learning this, Ranma tried to leave a positive impression on Akane. Surprisingly, he succeeded during their other sparring dojo session when he told Akane she had a beautiful smile.
