Kubo’s new illustration was revealed on Marvel’s Japanese Twitter account. The poster shows Tom Hiddleston as Loki standing alongside Aizen. Both of them have the same expression on their faces and also are seen to be in the same pose.

The caption reads, “The God of Betrayal and the Shinigami of Betrayal stand side by side!” It makes sense cause both the characters are infamous for being betrayers, Loki constantly deceiving his brother Thor, while Aizen is well known for being another trickster.

Well, it seems, this design was created by Tite Kubo to help with the promotion of the release of the Loki Disney+ series in Japan. And it pretty much has worked oh-so-well!

Bleach was serialized in Shueisha’s manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from August 2001 to August 2016. It performed well commercially and sold over 120 million volumes as of 2018. The manga inspired an anime series, live-action movie, video games and even a stage musical.

The series follows the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, who obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper, from another Soul Reaper Rukia Kuchiki. He takes on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife.

Kubo’s recent work is the manga Burn The Witch and has begun serialisation in Weekly Shonen Jump. The plot focuses on two witches residing in London and is set in the same world as Bleach.
