American Housewife Season Five Preview Released
American Housewife will return to television screens very soon. The show was renewed for the fifth season in the month of May, but there were concerns regarding the production of the new season because of the COVID lockdown. But, ABC dispelled all worries with the announcement that season five will debut in fall and the Otto family will be back to entertain viewers with their imperfect lives.
ABC shared a promo for the fifth season, where the Ottos are seen getting ready to attend Taylor’s high school graduation. Katie will have to go all out to appease Principal Ablin so that he lets Taylor graduate. On the other hand, Oliver gets to know that Cooper and his family are moving out of Westport and he is shocked.
After it was revealed last season that Anna-Kat has been bullying her schoolmates, she has agreed to try something new and is gearing up to attend sleep-away camp during the summer break.
The actress who played Anna-Kat in the first four seasons, Julia Butters, has exited the sitcom after her breakout role as Trudi Fraser in Quentin Tarantino’s Academy Award-winning film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. In her place, actress Giselle Eisenberg, known for her role in CBS’s sitcom Life In Pieces, will take up the role of Anna-Kat in the new season.
The rest of the cast is returning for the fifth season, led by Katy Mixon, whose portrayal of the regular-housewife-in-a-perfect-neighborhood has been the charm of the show since its debut.

Season five is scheduled to premiere on October 28th, 2020, on ABC.
