This time, Gurazeni’s spinoff manga is taking the hit as the illustrator’s health declines. Don’t lose all hope yet since the series will return as soon as the mangaka feels well.

The 15th issue of Kodansha’s Evening magazine announced that the spinoff manga of the Gurazeni series will be going on a break.

Yusuke Uzumaki, Gurazeni: Natsunoke no Seishun’s illustrator, needs a break due to his unstable health. The manga is also authored by Yuji Moritaka.

No specific date has been fixed for the manga’s return yet. However, the 16th issue of the Evening magazine will announce a tentative date for the manga to resume.

Gurazeni is a baseball manga where players are paid according to their performance. As you can already understand, this creates a lot of pressure on the players.

Natsunosuke’s youth and his fight to join a team is well illustrated in the spinoff.

If you are a sports anime fan then this Gurazeni should definitely be on your watchlist. The series had also received an anime adaptation by Studio Deen! With a total of 24 episodes, the anime has a lot to offer.

Gurazeni also has two more sequel series, Gurazeni: Tokyo Dome-hen and Gurazeni: Pa League-hen. So why not give the other adaptations a try while waiting for the spinoff to come back?
