BattleBots is a robot combat competition where a builder and his bot face off against another team in a three-minute round. The target is to damage or disable the opponent’s robot. If there is no clear winner after the round, a panel of judges decides a winner from the two contestants.

This season, sixty teams will participate in the metal-crunching combat. The contestants will include legendary champions to unpredictable rookies. BattleBots will kick off with a grand battle between former World Champion Ray Billings with his terrifying bot Tombstone and New Zealand’s Jack Barker who will fight with his robot End Game.

Other robots that are coming in with the goal to win are Whiplash, SawBlaze, Lock-Jaw, Bloodsport and Skorpios. After a nail-biting elimination round, the winner will get the highly desired Giant Nut at the end of the season.
