The first season ends with a violent confrontation with the lion mafia Shishigumi. Haru and Legoshi narrowly manage to escape when Louis kills Shishigumi’s boss.
The anime’s unique storyline has impressed many viewers, who are eagerly waiting for the second season. The new season will be broadcasted exclusively on Netflix Japan from January 6, 2021.
The official Twitter account of NXonNetflix revealed that Beastars season 2 will make its worldwide Netflix debut in July 2021.
The previously released trailer video reveals that the search for the murderer is still going on, and the situation gets even more intense when Rouis goes missing.

The original manga by Paru Itagaki concluded on October 8, and Viz Media is publishing the manga in English.
Season 1 ended with too many unanswered questions, and it is expected that the new season may solve the mystery behind Tem’s murder.

In the season 1 climax, Haru and Legoshi return to school after their strange night. Legoshi confesses his love for Haru and vows to protect her. Meanwhile, Juno challenges Hal for Legoshi’s affections.
Although the first season began with the murder mystery of alpaca Tem, the rest of the season barely focused on this plotline.
It is expected that Season 2 will be even more action-packed and focusing on the main plotline. Legoshi is seen talking to a giant snake in the trailer video, and this snake may hold the key to Tem’s killer’s true identity.

Beastars is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion since September 2016, with its chapters collected in 19 tankōbon volumes as of July 2020.
