‘Bucchigiri?!’ Teaser Shows Delinquents and Magic
‘Bucchigiri?!’ is so captivating at first glance for so many reasons. To begin, picture a mashup of two enduring genres: the classic and the fantastic. The ‘delinquent’ or ‘yanki’ genre, which has been popular since the 1980s, is the topic at hand.
Without a doubt, Tokyo Revengers is the epitome of yanki fantasy, yet “Bucchigiri?! ” appears to be influenced by a distinct but nonetheless recognizable source.
On Sunday, a teaser and picture for Studio MAPPA’s original anime ‘Bucchigiri?!’ were unveiled at the MAPPA Stage Event 2023. The studio also announced the anime’s primary cast and the launch date of January 2024.
Araji Tomobishi and his best friend Mataka Asamine are featured in the minute-long preview. There are also a large number of mysterious figures displayed. The school corridor, the surrounding buildings, and the alleyways are all covered in graffiti. A genie-like spirit makes an appearance at the end of the film, immediately following the credits.
The music, the rifle, and the Arabic text on the staircase all have a feel reminiscent of ‘The Arabian Nights’ or similar legends.
Staff members were announced at the event, but the voice actors have yet to be disclosed. The core participants are as follows:

For no other reason than to satisfy my intrigue, this anime will be watched. The color scheme also has a ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’ vibe about it. Unfortunately, not much is known about the plot, but it appears that gang warfare will be a major component.

MAPPA and Hiroko Utsumi’s ‘Bucchigiri?!’ is a brand new anime series. ‘Banana Fish’ was the first time Mappa and Utsumi collaborated. The premiere of the anime is planned for the first month of 2024.
Araji Tomobishi and his old pal Mataka Asamine are back together again. But powerful people keep forcing him into fights. Over there, the devil’s specter is beginning to rise.
