“Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Anime” Second Trailer Shows More Cast and Theme Song
The second trailer for the television anime based on the Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill light novel series by Ren Eguchi and illustrator Masa was released on the official Twitter account for the project on December 26.
New cast members are introduced, and both the opening and closing themes are previewed in the trailer.
The anime’s Japanese premiere is set for January 10 on Amazon Prime Video and Hikari TV. On January 11, it will be shown on TV Tokyo and other Japanese stations.
Cast as Mukouda Tsuyoshi are Yuma Uchida, Satoshi Hino, Hina Kino, Maaya Uchida, Ninrir, Yo Taichi, Agni, Yuko Kaida, Kishar, and Saho Shirasu.
Vande Shop will be providing the opening theme song for “Zeitaku na Saji.” The final theme song of the anime, “Happy-go-Journey,” will be performed by Yma Uchida.
The protagonist of the anime is Mukouda Tsuyoshi, a regular guy living in present-day Japan. One day he gets a summons to a world of swords and sorcery and thinks he’s in for the adventure of a lifetime.
Unfortunately, he soon learns that the kingdom summoned him in error and finds his abilities to be comical. Having only the “Online Supermarket” magical ability at his disposal, he tries to make his way in this new world and lead a simple life despite living in a fantasy setting.
The plot then follows him as he travels around this fantastical world serving up his signature brand of fusion cuisine.
At MAPPA, Kiyoshi Matsuda is in charge of directing the anime.
The series scripts are being supervised by Michiko Yokote, and Masa’s original character designs are being adapted for animation by Nao tsu.
Music is composed by Masato Kda, Kana Utatade, and the Kuricorder Quartet.
In 2016, Eguchi released the novels on the “Shosetsuka ni Nar” website.
