Captain Tsubasa Final Arc: Notification
Yoichi broke the news in the fifteenth issue of Captain Tsubasa, published by Shueisha on January 10, 2023. Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun is nearing its last arc, which is a great disappointment. The release date and other important information were also revealed. The story was a smashing success from the moment it was published by Yoichi in the Shueisha magazine Grand Jump. While it had modest beginnings, Captain Tsubasa eventually surpassed them. Since then, in April of 2020, it has appeared in Captain Tsubasa magazine.
It’s a publication with its own dedicated readership that covers the series exclusively. In August of 2022, Shueisha released Rising Sun volume 17. There will likely be many more years of manga to come. The end of an age, however, is felt to be imminent. Epic haircuts, iconic techniques like Drive Shot, and intense rivalries—the mangaka and his tale gave us it everything. If Mozart had written symphonies about soccer matches, he would be the “Mozart of Manga.”
What Happens Next?
Tsubasa’s unconventional strategies first become a problem for his opponents in the youth divisions. But he has just just begun his adventure. At some point, he’ll be playing in the major leagues, where the competition will be much more intense. Tsubasa encounters a soccer squad full with colorful people. There’s the supportive and upbeat pal, the solemn and resolute leader, the fiery adversary, and the seasoned trainer. Each of them had a role in making Tsubasa the finest possible player in the series’ final act.
The last chapters will focus on discussions of friendship, tenacity, and the value of following one’s passions. Additional depth will be added through the inclusion of many subplots and insights into the lives of the supporting cast. Tsubasa and his long-time opponent Kojiro Hyuga will have their ultimate fight in this final arc as they both aim to represent Japan in the Olympics.
