Created by Bushiroad under the Bushiroad Music label in 2019, D4DJ is different from other franchises of the same company.
The anime is set to premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and other channels on October 30. It will also stream on Funimation, Ani-One Asia, Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, YouTube, Anime Network.
The official website for D4DJ First Mix has released a promotional video. The new key visual was also released featuring the main protagonists of the anime.
The new visual featured the main protagonists of the anime. It was revealed at the no-audience live “MixChannel Presents D4DJ CONNECT LIVE”. The visual is animated by the CGI anime studio Sanzigen.
The promotional video begins with the opening theme song “Guruguru DJ Turn!!,” performed by Happy Around! feat. KYOKO & SAKI.
The video features Rinku who aspires to become a DJ someday teaming up with other girls to form a music collective. It follows them performing songs at different concerts.

A source revealed that each episode will feature a special guest from the Virtual YouTubers agency, Hololive production. These virtual talents will include Hoshimachi Suisei, Amane Kanata, Natsuiro Matsuri Y. Omaru polka.

D4DJ First Mix is about Rinku Aimoto who decides to team up with Maho Akashi, Muni Ohnaruto and Rei Togetsu to create a musical unit called Happy Around!
While hanging out with other music entities like Peaky P-Key and Photon Maiden, Rinku and her friends have to prepare for their performances on stage.
D4DJ franchise is set to receive anime game adaptations and live DJ events.
