It was announced that customers could purchase the character individually or as part of a character DLC pack. The characters included in the DLC pack are:

  • Tengen Uzui
  • Tanjiro Kamado (Entertainment District Arc)
  • Nezuko Kamado (Advanced Demon Form)
  • Zenitsu Agatsuma (Entertainment District Arc)
  • Inosuke Hashibira (Entertainment District Arc)
  • Daki
  • Gyūtarō

The game is adding new characters over the course of five releases. Previously, the game released Tengen in July and Nezuko Kamado (Advanced Demon Form) in August. Entertainment District arc versions of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke were introduced as a set of three in September, and Daki debuted in October.

Nezuko, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke were all originally added in the base game, but it was only their standard versions that players were able to select in the fighter.

The Entertainment District Arc included various new developments in terms of the protagonists learning and showing off new skills, which is why these forms were added to the paid DLC.

Characters like Yahaba and Susamaru were added to the game earlier as free updates.
