Disney will Stream Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Exclusively on its Platforms.
The Tokyo Revengers manga concluded its story on a positive note, and fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of the upcoming season, which will focus on the Christmas Showdown arc.
Disney has recently shown an interest in expanding anime distribution on its global platforms. Seeing as how the company still has a ways to go in that respect, it has begun making some risky choices, and you can probably guess what they are.
Disney has confirmed that the “Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Arc” will be available worldwide on all of its streaming services. The season will begin airing in January 2023, and more details will be shared soon.
Disney and Kodansha are working together to increase the amount of anime available on Disney Platform Distribution services like Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar. The second season of Tokyo Revengers will air on these two OTT services and more details will be shared at a later date.
It’s better to get on board with the current trend of anime since the popularity of the genre has made it a formidable competitor to Hollywood movies. Disney planned ahead and got to work, securing the rights to successful franchises like Tokyo Revengers.
The second season will adapt the Black Dragon arc from the manga, which is also known as the Christmas Showdown. Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off, with Takemichi now a well-known figure in Toman and Kisaki Tetta still at the helm of the criminal organization.
The Toman have only grown more savage and merciless, making eradication more difficult than ever. In order to save everyone, especially Hina, Naoto Tachibana and Takemichi will team up once more to send Takemichi back in time.
However, when Takemichi once again makes the time jump, he will face a new and even more formidable foe: the Black Dragon. One of Tokyo’s other motorcycle gangs has ruled Japan for decades and is deeply entrenched in the criminal underworld.
Who knows how Takemichi will survive this ordeal. While fans were critical of the manga, there is still hope that the anime can repair the series’ damaged reputation.
The only way to accomplish this is to ensure that the upcoming season is just as thrilling as previous ones have been.
Tokyo Revengers
Ken Wakui has created a manga titled Tokyo Revengers. On March 1st, 2017, it first appeared in Kodansha’s Weekly Shnen Magazine as a serial. The seventeenth volume of the collected manga was released on May 15.
Takemichi Hanagaki, the protagonist, finds out that his one and only ex-girlfriend from middle school has been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Upon hearing the news of what had happened, Takemichi was pushed off the train platform.
After he fell to the tracks, he closed his eyes in what he thought was acceptance of death; however, when he opened them again, he found himself 12 years in the past.
