Dr. Stone Reveals 1-Hour Special for Ryusui and New Manga Chapter in July

Ryusui is the most dynamic and one of the most well-written characters in Dr. Stone. With his undeterred ambition to have everything, the Nanami Conglomerate’s heir made his way to the list of our favorite characters.

But his ambition is not all there is to him. Being a curious soul who wants the world in the palm of his hands, Ryusui began traveling from a young age and developed exceptional navigation and leadership skills.

Beating Ryusui in sailing is like beating Senku in science, almost impossible. Such a character deserves a memorable debut, and the franchise understood the assignment.

The Dr. Stone franchise has announced that the Dr. Stone: Ryusui special will be a one-hour-long episode and posted a promotional video for the same. The anime special will premiere on July 10, 2022.

It previews how Senku and the others found Ryusui and de-petrified him as they needed someone to navigate them to the other side of the world. As they search for him, Senku and his friends are made familiar with the Nanami Conglomerate and their history.

Ryusui is Nanami Conglomerate’s infamous ‘outrageous wayward’ son who’s been out exploring the world on the sea since he was in middle school. The trailer suggests how Senku and Ryusui’s personalities conflict and complement each other as they both are so ambitious that it makes them seem crazy.

As soon as he’s revived, Ryusui takes on command and establishes himself as the best captain. However, his bold and electric character becomes a matter of great annoyance to everyone. I mean, anyone would be annoyed by a narcissist who knows his abilities and never delivers false expectations.

Coming to the manga, it’s been almost three months since it ended, but it wasn’t the end we wished for. The conclusion was rushed and abrupt, leaving many fans disappointed.

So, to make amends, the mangaka Inagaki and Boichi decided to create a special new chapter for closure that will be out in Weekly Shonen Jump’s 31st issue on July 4.
