The upcoming Ryusui anime special will not only debut the fan-favorite character from the manga but also show off all his talents in one fell swoop.
The man has achieved so much in just a few days after being revived that he really deserves a standalone installment.
The Dr. Stone: Ryusui anime special will premiere in July 2022. Its plot is set immediately after season 2.
I bet that this was done so that season 3 can get a smooth start with no time to waste on introductions. Season 3 of Dr. Stone will premiere in 2023.
Since season 2 ended with Senku declaring that they needed a ship, it’s obvious that Ryusui’s revival is next in line. This multi-talented billionaire boy will revolutionize the stone world in no time at all. Finally, a prodigy who can rival Senku.
Don’t get me wrong, he is no engineer or scientist, but he is a man of many talents and is a master of sailing.
He will also help in building the ship, Perseus, that will take the science team all across the globe. Not only that, he is the one who will bring industrialization and the concept of money to the stone world.

It has already been announced in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine that the Dr. Stone manga will receive a special chapter around the time of the episode’s release.
Will it be about Ryusui? Or will it give us a sneak-peek into a possible sequel? I have to admit that both the options are equally attractive.

Dr. Stone is a Japanese manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. It serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since 6th March 2017, with the individual chapters collected and published by Shueisha into thirteen tankōbon volumes as of November 2019.
Every human on the planet was turned into Stone after a mysterious flash of light hit Earth. Four thousand years after Senku, a student is confronted with a brand new world, an Earth without Humanity.
